4th of July

Holidays are so much more exciting than they used to be with a child of our own. Skye experienced a splash pad, concert, laser show, fireworks, and parade for the first time, all while staying out way past her bedtime. All in all we all had such a wonderful 4th weekend.
At the splash pad she couldn't get enough of the water and wasn't scared of even the big fountains. She crawled for as long as we would let her. She even got sores on the tops of her feet and still kept going. She loved the water! We would put on her shades and she would grin super big and then tear them off because she needed to check them out again! Skye was all decked out enough for all three of us, she looked so cute! We went to the Freedom of Fire in Logan where they had singers, tributes, concert, laser show, and fireworks all in one. During the concert and laser show she was just so fascinated and enjoyed all of it. I was curious to see how she would like the fireworks but she loved them and then she realized she was tired and feel asleep and didn't budge even during the finale. I love having such a fun, happy, loving baby, she truly is the best!

I love my Aggie family!

Taken in April 2015
I absolutely LOVE my little Aggie family! We are both going into our last year of school at Utah State and we are excited to see what will come after we graduate. We will probably be leaving Logan for Chris' job but once an Aggie, always an Aggie. Skye is almost a year old and it is crazy how fast time flies when you are busy having a blast with life. I have loved the opportunity to stay at home with her all year and to watch her grow and learn. I really do feel so spoiled with the happiest baby in the world (people really do tell me this), and the most supportive and fun husband I could ever have dreamed up. I could not of imagined how difficult but rewarding it would be to stay at home with Skye, and I hope to be able to stay home with her again after I graduate in May. I really do love my family and am so grateful for them.

Choosing a child's book

You may ask yourself, "How in the world do I know how to choose a book for either your child or a child you may know?". Well here is a awesome link that gives you guidelines to consider what kind of books are best for infants and toddlers, preschool and kindergarten, early school years (5-8), and then older children (9 & up). I hope this helps some parents out there, enjoy! :)
